My name is Megan. I am a freelance singer, musician and creative based in Queensland, Australia.

I believe that music and vocal expression are more than just art forms; they are vital tools for mental health and wellbeing.

I’m currently available for freelance gigs, collaborations, creative coaching and consulting engagements.

I was born in the outback, in a place affectionately known as ‘The Isa’, but I’ve made my home on the coast. I do a bit of this and that, but still am giggin’!

Outside of the creative gig, I have 20 plus year career in health administration, community arts, community welfare and development.

My formal qualifications in Human Services have equipped me with an in-depth understanding of community needs and human interactions. This knowledge has been instrumental in my work with various communities, enabling me to address their unique challenges with empathy and effective solutions.

My approach combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering environments where individuals feel supported and empowered. Through my work, I strive to make a meaningful difference, bridging gaps and building stronger, more resilient communities.

BULLDUST

Is a band that I formed in 2015 in the Isa with three of my mates. We like rock/country rock - anything! Packing the trailer, grabbing a swags and playing on truck trailers is our speciality.

LITTLE BIRUNG

Is a show I wrote based on the memories and stories of my Great-Grandmother, Flora Hoolihan. A story about mothers and daughters and their experiences growing up families in North Queensland, Australia, under the Aboriginal Protection Act.

THE SAPPHIRES

Was my first professional stage/theatre gig. I was cast as ‘Julie’ and we did a quick tour of Australia, before the production made their way to London and performed at The Barbican Theatre.
